Ayant récemment voyagé (en train), j’ai dû me fournir en magazines. (du verbe DEVOIR, oui).

Dans l’Eurostar Lille-Bruxelles, nous sommes passés par la Première classe, où des magazines sont gracieusement offerts aux passagers.
Je me suis servie, même si nous nous dilligentions vers la seconde classe.
J’ai donc pioché dans la présentoir et suis repartie vers mon wagon avec VOGUE, Harper’s Bazaar et GRAZIA.
Mon mensuel préféré restant Glamour UK, plus riche et dont les pages mode et même les publicités me plaisent plus que dans les magazines français.
Les anglais savent faire de la pub et utilisent beaucoup + l’humour que nous autres « froggies ».

Suite à l’expo Frida Kahlo vue à Bruxelles, j’ai eu envie de connaître plus en détails la vie de cette artiste peintre mexicaine.
Son accident de bus, à l’âge de 18 ans, qui marque la début d’une vie de souffrances et d’opérations (32 en 30 ans!!) marque également le début d’une vie d’artiste.
Alitée durant de longs mois, elle trouva du réconfort et pu extérioriser ses souffrances via la peinture.
Cette biographie est passionnante.

Having recently travelled (by train), I had to provide myself in magazines. (HAD TO, yes).


In the Eurostar Lille-Brussels, we went through the First class, where magazines are kindly offered to the passengers.
I took some, even if we were going to the second class.
I chose in display stand VOGUE, Harper’s Bazaar and GRAZIA.
My favourite magazine is Glamour UK, richer, with nicer fashion photos and even adverts please me more than in the French magazines.
English know how to advertise and use a lot more humor than us « froggies ».



Further to the Frida Kahlo exhibition seen in Brussels, I wanted to know more about the life of this Mexican painter.
Her terrible bus accident, at the age of 18, which stands out at the beginning of a life of sufferings and operations (32 in 30 years!!) was the beginning of artist’s life too.
In bed for long months, she found some comfort and been able to exteriorize her sufferings trough the painting.
This biography is fascinating.
I recommend it to you!

I appear in the last one, week of February the 19th.
