Combiner amour des montres et bonne action…
Depuis Avril 2013, Michael Kors est impliqué dans un partenariat exclusif à long terme avec le Programme Alimentaire Mondial (WFP), qui se consacre à aider à résoudre la crise de la faim internationale, une cause qui est la pierre angulaire de la plateforme philanthropique de Michael Kors.
L’objectif principal de ce partenariat est de faire la lumière sur le sort continue de la faim dans le monde et de sensibiliser l’ensemble de la mode et des communautés mondiales. Dans le cadre de cet effort philanthropique, Michael Kors a lancé la montre « 100 Series », dans le cadre de l’initiative « Watch Hunger Stop« . Il s’agit du premier produit conçu uniquement par la marque pour soutenir un message philanthropique mondiale.
Une montre « 100 Series » représente une centaine de repas distribués aux enfants dans le monde entier. À ce jour, Michael Kors a aidé le WFP à livrer plus de trois millions de repas aux enfants souffrant de la faim grâce à la vente de ces montres « 100 Series ».
Vous connaissez sans doute mon engagement personnel auprès de la cause animale, mais ignorez sûrement que la cause humaine m’importe aussi beaucoup même si je n’en parle pas publiquement. Les deux sont de toute façon indissociables : « On n’a pas deux cœurs, l’un pour l’homme, l’autre pour l’animal… On a du cœur ou on n’en a pas« . [citation de l’écrivain Alphonse de Lamartine]. Je la trouve tellement vrai et ne comprends pas que l’on fasse une différence de degré d’importance entre un animal et un humain. Vraiment, cela m’échappe.
L’opportunité m’a été donnée de mettre en avant le message de ces deux modèles de montres Michael Kors, à ma demande, pour pouvoir vous parler du merveilleux projet humanitaire qui est lié.
Je suis fière et très reconnaissante à la marque Michael Kors de me faire confiance en me laissant communiquer sur ce sujet sensible. Le fait que ces montres en acier aient les 5 continents gravés sur le cadran me rappelle chaque jour qu’on est tous sur la même petite planète. Planète sur laquelle il existe encore de telles inégalités et injustices à tous les niveaux, qu’il est essentiel d’en prendre conscience pour mieux faire évoluer les choses. « Making difference is timeless » (: « Faire la différence est intemporel« ).

Since April 2013, Michael Kors has been involved in an exclusive, long-term partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), dedicated to helping solve the international hunger crisis, a cause that is the cornerstone of Kor’s philanthropic platform.
The major goal of the partnership is to shed light on the continuing plight of the world’s hungry and to raise awareness throughout the fashion and global communities.
As part of this philanthropic effort, Michael Kors launched the 100 Series watch, a specially designed style of the best selling runway watch to support WFP, as part of the « Watch Hunger Stop«  initiative. This is the brand’s first uniquely designed product to support a global philanthropic message.
A 100 Series watch represents one hundred meals distributed to children all around the world. To date, Michael Kors has helped WFP deliver more than three million meals to hungry children through the sale of the 100 series watch.
You probably know my personal commitment to animal welfare, but I also can’t ignore that human cause is also very important to me, even if I don’t claim it publicly. The two are inseparable anyway: « We don’t have two hearts, one for men, one for the animals… We have a heart or have none. » [Quote from Alphonse de Lamartine a French writer]. I think it’s just so true and can’t understand that we make a difference in degree of importance between an animal and a human being. Really, it doesn’t make sense to me.
The opportunity was given to me to enhance the message of these two Michael Kors watches, at my request, to be able to tell you about the wonderful humanitarian project.
I’m proud and grateful to the Michael Kors brand in trusting me to communicate on this sensitive subject. The fact that these watches have the 5 continents engraved on the dial reminds me every day that we’re all on the same small planet. Planet on which there are still such inequalities and injustices at all levels, it’s essential to be aware in order to make a difference. « Making difference is timeless ».
